About the Foundation

Formed in memory of our baby boy Nyilale Vaah Jnr who we lost at childbirth due to inadequate monitoring and care during his birth, this foundation advocates and fights for safe motherhood, safe birth and better care for women before, during and after childbirth.

Vaah Junior Foundation serves as the voice for women and newborn babies who are dying or being maimed daily from neglect and substandard medical care in health facilities throughout sub-Saharan Africa, especially Ghana

Donations and Education

Foundation donates to Wassa Amenfi West District Health Directorate

The Vaah Junior Foundation has donated an assortment of medical supplies and equipment to the Wassa Amenfi West District Health Directorate. This is in fulfillment of its mandate to support health care delivery in rural and peri-urban communities. Items donated include insulin syringes, BP monitoring devices, cervical scrappers, infrared thermometer. CHPS Compounds receive BP monitoring devices

Foundation donates assorted medical equipments to Clinics

The Vaah Junior Foundation has, as part of its efforts to improve quality of healthcare delivery in rural areas in Ghana, donated a number of medical equipments to clinics in the Elemgbenle district of the western region of Ghana. Items donated include Blood pressure monitors, Non Contact Infrared Clinical thermometers, surgical masks, glucometers etc. January 2018

Trainee Midwives Introduced to Vaah Junior Foundation

Health Screening & Community Sensitization

On Easter Sunday, April 21, Vaah Junior Foundation partnered with Osagyefo Memorial Medical Centre to offer free health education, screening and counseling for Heptitis B, Diabetes and Hypertension to 115 people in the community of Old Bakanta, Western Region, Ghana. Thank you ACSA (African Caribbean Students Association of Queen's University for your donation and our team of Volunteers for the wonderful work done. Training exercise by Foundation at secondary schools
